And yes, it is [in need]. Great games are never in question here - great games can be any game, I never go into personal taste and never say anything bad about a game, especially one I haven't played.

I'm talking about big/famous games that can/will help sell the system. "Great games" can be found anywhere, TBH. My favorite game of this new decade is VVVVVV. Did it sell any PC/3DS? Zero.

This thread is about the Japanese market. What are these great games announced over the last few weeks for Japan? 

In terms of big releases this year in Japan the Vita has Hastune Miku and............ oh. Soul Sacrifice is trying to get out this year but has been slated for Q4 or Q1 next year. So possibly that. Then er.... FFX remake? Only that's also on PS3 in HD and just recently when asked how progress on it was the response was simply wait a while longer. 

Maybe I'm forgetting something but that's all I can think of. People suspect maybe God Eater 2 is going from PSP only to PSP/Vita or even PSP/Vita/3DS. However we don't actually know anything about it yet.

I'll just say that if Sony priced the Vita "out of most of its market's reach," then they made a mistake. If they're being outsold by their biggest competitor, it's their own fault, however you slice it. If 3DS is selling better because it offers a better value to consumers, that's Sony's fault for not matching that value. If Vita offers a better value than 3DS (as I'm sure you would argue), then Sony's marketing team is doing something wrong.

And for the record, I believe the Vita far outvalues what the 3DS offered this time last year. There's no reason a console with THAT launch line-up should be performing so poorly. So I blame Sony for making their hardware too expensive, and for not marketing the console well enough. It seems to me that the games are pretty much already there.

I actually find it funny that most people I show my Vita to had no idea that Sony had a new handheld on the market. This is a true story. I get a lot of "Is this a new PSP?" or " I didn't know this thing is out already.". And I live in Germany, which is Sony country.

But it's true, as a Vita owner I feel this thing has not enough good games. I have 2 so far (Uncharted and Gravity Rush) and only 2 more for the rest of the year I am remotely interested in (LBP and ACL). I don't even know if I can afford those games because the second half of the year my wallet belongs to Nintendo. July would've been perfect for LBP.

it doesn't need to sell to ALL it's potential market in the beginning of it's life, it can more than survive off of who is buying it now, and later on in it's life it'll reach that price when even more can jump in, the only point I see in being critical is if it was failing to do what Sony said it was going to do within that time and even you think they aren't, so I failing to see the fanboyism (you practically agreed with me), fanboyism to me is bragging about console sales on the internet for the sole reason of being able to bragging about console sales on the internet, I could care less how much a console sells as long as it's able to be a amazing console in the process and the Vita is nothing short of amazing and it's only getting better

so in you honest opinion is the Vita the worst console ever....
