It begins now. What new things will Steve show?

Live blog for those interested.

I know better than to try to predict these things. There's almost too much hype over the rumoured sub-notebook for it to actually happen, though I know better than to rule that out, either.

Most interesting (and relevant to this site) will be any announcements regarding dev kits and software deals for iPhones and iPod Touches.

"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event."  — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing

Steve announces Time machine backup device. $299 for 500GB, $499 for 1TB.

Time Capsule seems interesting. It's also interesting that iPhone snatched 20% of the US smartphone market in 90 days. Impressive.

Meh, I remember when "MacWorld" used to actually be about Macs.

As much as I love some of Apple's gadgets, I hate how much they brush the Mac line under the rug during these keynotes.

I'm hoping they will have an upgrade or price cut on the iMac. I'm hoping to pick one up soon.

iTunes movie rentals, Touchstone, MGM, Miramax, Lions Gate, Fox, WB, Walt Disney, Paramount, Universal, Sony etc onboard. Makes me think why didn't Sony do this with the PSP?

Oooooohhhh, $4.99 for HD rentals.

Bravo, Apple.

Now who is saying downloads won't be a factor in the HD war? I'm surprised Sony went along with this. Perhaps they are including a blu-ray option in their systems as some rumors have speculated.
