Forums - General Discussion - Mafia Round 43 - WipEout

@The entire conversation (Page 4, Post 29 until waaay too long into the round), that concerned Prof and his “no lynch” action:
- I believe that he did read the rules
- However, we all know that Prof is into gambits etc. this is clearly one of them
- I believe that Prof only said it to gauge the reaction of the other players, since it’s not going to be possible to verify (presumably) that one racing business is “good” over another.
- Isn’t that incredibly risky? Sure – but we all know that this is what Prof always does, and what he loves to do.
- It’s clear that whatever he was trying to do didn’t have the effect that he wanted it to have, so we really shouldn’t keep dwelling on something that, in my opinion, isn’t that important
- @”Prof is a 3rd party” – Prof is an experienced player- do you really think that he’d draw the attention to himself within his first couple (if not actual first) post, if he held the risk of being investigated and being found “not town”?
Vote: Wonk
No real evidence for this yet, but I’m not very comfortable with the way that he was questioning Prof about the “no lynch incident”. Describing himself as a “pissed” townie, and asking “why did you even risk breaking rule #1? when it could cost your team to lose all night action for the night?” felt like he’s trying too hard to make us see him as town-aligned.
- Looks like Prof basically confirms my ideas surrounding his actions on the No Lynch thing (~halfway down page 5), but I’m going to keep my observations about his actions still.
@Noctis: “I will just simply ignore the one who's tunneling me so whatever.”
- So you wouldn’t ignore someone who’s tunnelling another player? Especially if they’re an innocent townie, right?
- FoS Noctis
@Mario [analysis on every player]:
- It’s a good analysis, with HoS, votes, and genuine insights that nobody else has pointed out yet. I’m getting a town vibe from him atm

Why so zerious??
Maybe you are not serious enough?

“You are obnoxious. ”
- Isn’t a bit late into the day to still be having jokes/teasing?
So Wonk is a coroner, huh?
- Researching the role, it sounds useful, but hardly something that our docs should be wasting time/resources on tonight. Besides, he still looks very suspicious to me.
@Pesus: “I don't think I want to see linkz lynched on day 1 either. These small games are much harder IMO than the large ones. Now each mislynch counts a lot more and if linkz is a townie he would be a great loss. I'd like to see Soleron's take, and Radish's”
- Someone’s got to be lynched, obviously, but I agree that I don’t want it to be Linkz today. Honestly, if I didn’t know that I was a valuable member of the town, I would be pushing for my own lynch because of my inactivity – it’s due to circumstances out of my control, but ones that are resolved, so I’ll be returning to usual posting activity from now on.
Unrelated note: How many people here would describe themselves as having a power of some description? No details – I just want to know if we’re probably dealing with a power game here (my impressions were skewed last round, because I assumed that everyone would be powerful due to my own great role, and a similar thing might be happening this round)
- @Noctis jester/bomb/unlynchable/governer
o If he’s town, then he’s not a bomb
o If he’s a jester, then the game won’t end after he’s lynched, I’m certain of that
o If he’s unlynchable, he should just tell us, so we can at least get some information
@Mario: “I am leaning towards pro town for Spurge (only slightly), so it wouldn't make sense for mafia to help out a town player when they could sit back and watch him dig a deeper hole.”
- Any good mafia knows when helping a townie can make them seem pro-town and therefore increase their own life
@Wiibox: Why would mafia want to help out a town player? Protection money???
- Wut, how can you not realise that mafia’s goal is more than just straight-up mmislynching?
- This does make me feel a little more pro-town about you though if you are genuinely clueless

@j0: “@ prof I really doubt Radish will come back in the next 9 hours until the day is over”
- Pff looks like I showed you wrong
- What’s this all about anyway? Trying to subtley introduce anti-radishhead posts into the fray to more easily make your mislynch later?
Noctis is claiming vanilla now?
- Please- he’s not worth our time
Okay nothing much talked about during those last 20 posts or so

Does anyone have any specific questions that they want to ask me? My opinions on various things etc? I’ve tried to cover most things as I went along, but I’m sure I missed a few things

He most certainly would! Recall the 999 round.

You think janitor is more commonly town than mafia due to hat's game?

No. The role is more common to be mafia as opposed to town, but I think the janitor this game is similar to Hat's game for an obvious reason.

Well you've at least breadcrumbed the role in the past. Seems far too convenient though. Any idea if roles are flipped anyway if you are killed also?

I don't remember what he did there, could you remind me?

He was a survivor and claimed he was guilty scanning. Got lynched day one.

Oh and I'm inclined to believe that not everyone is power.

Noctis, whose craft was heavily damaged, was about to go into the Perdix Loop for the last time during this race, he brilliantly took the Perdix approach and picked up a weapon, just a few sedconds before he could absorb it in order to restore some of his AG-Racers health, he got bumped from behind, which let him go a little to fast into the perdix retreat. As he collided with the wall the screens inside his racer lit up in an alarming red and the last thing noctis should hear in his life was the sound of an overheating AG-engine. Stefl1504, who was only a few metres behind noctis as the incident occured, saw how the craft went up in flames. The fire reduced the once beautiful machine to a few metal chunks and smouldering ashes.

The next race will be held at Empire Climb.

Noctis was ???

Night 1 Start!

Please hand in your night actions asap

XD
anyway thanks for the game and I'll enjoy my game on the mafia scum.net.

Someone has informed the league comitee on his findings after investigating Noctis' death.

At dawn the contestants gathered at the starting line for the next event of the tournament, this time, at the high velocity track of Empire Climb. Stefl1504 attends todays race in a XIOS - the starting signal - as Stefl1504 accelerats he hears a dampened noise, followed by the on-board-computer declaring with its robotic voice: "Contestant Eliminated"

It appears that the engines of Final-Fan's racer have been manipulated, causing an explosion, which evaporated both him and his AG-Racer.

Final-Fan was ???
Noctis was Town Vanilla, he was the pilot of an EG-R

Tournament Day 2 Start!

day will last until 02:00 CEST Saturday 7th July (00:00 UST, 20:00 EDT)

I won't be able to keep up with the omitted flips guys :(
