No, at first you were trying to get town or scum to lose their abilities by getting them to follow your recomendation and vote.  Then after you were punished already you went for broke and put a vote up hoping to get someone to follow quickly, or get stefl to think you are trolling him and take it back.

Personally I would rather think you are scum doing what you did than think you could be so bad as to risk the whole town being punished just for your lulz.

I'm just a townie really pissed at you.

Im not saying youre scum but youre certainly making a lot of assumptions. Still im glad you claeified that bit about the delay because i had no idea it could be interpreted that way.
If u have further questions, id be happy to address them but right now im sure a lot of the reasonings are nased in unspoken assumptions.

It doesn't make a lick of sense for the entirety of town to lose their night actions because of me, period.

I can understand that it would make sense for mafia to lose their powers, but townies no. Mafia should have at least some sense to warn each other at the game outset, so the punishment seems justifiable.

However, town could just have a lurker, or someone who doesn't read the thread or rules (like last game) and end up punishing the team? Not likely.

Secondly, on the meta level, losing scum their powers isn't gamebreaking, but losing town their powers is, because that confirms the townie.

Note that yes, this was my assumption, and I think it's a pretty good one despite the rules as worded. The RAI (Rules as Interpreted) told me differently.

It wasn't a risk, as I saw it. I didn't sit and think about it for a long time, but it just seems obvious that my claim wouldn't harm anyone but myself, and I don't consider that much of a punishment since my main strength has always been my analysis, not my power. (In fact some would say giving me power throws off my game) So yes, it's a lot of silver lining talk on my behalf, so to summarize quickly:

I apologize for risking town their powers. It didn't occur to me in the slightest that that was what I would be doing. I didn't feel it necessary to protect myself or my role, and I like saying things that make people talk. I felt the gain vs loss regarding the rule were adequate given the little I thought about it (no big deal), so I did it. Like I said, I also kinda hoped spurge would vote no lynch as well, and with what I was initially thinking of him acting defensively, I thought it would be funny if scum lost their power because of him. Furthermore, if in the chance he was town, I (again believing that only he would lose the power) thought it wouldn't matter anyway, since he doesn't know how to play his roles anyway.

Linkz was actually the one that prompted me to read the rules, since I had been on my phone and not considered it enough of an issue to make sure to read them like I would do on my home computer.

And to clarify, it wasn't so much of a strategy, it was just like,

Sees linkz say "my kind of mafia"/ I read the rules.
"Oh hey, that's interesting."
Continue reading, spurge and linkz doing typical argument at outset, ironically, last game I thought Hat and Spurge were on a team because of their first post argument.

This was my train of thought. I've left nothing out for all those who still had suspicion of questions I tried to make my response as detailed as possible.

I'm fine if you guys want to continue talking about this, but at least I can give you my point of view for your consideration. :D

Linkz, is the odd thing in prof's post that radish was talking, yet "appeared" to be lurking (whatever that means)?

Or, was it that "only spurge" being in danger is clearly false since prof acting as if he hadn't read the rules risked a team-wide punishment (implying that prof isn't town if his antics didn't endanger us)? (Although, I have to say that rule sounds much too draconian.)
