as well. Per j0, if prof's actions were deliberate I agree he'd have to be neither town nor mafia. He wasn't apologetic enough afterwards as if he hadn't read the rules.
It's prof, of course he read the rules. Now that the others have mentioned 3rd party, that's more than a plausible theory. I am not sure how the 3rd party benefits however by going the first night without a kill, but it seems like an intended troll indeed if his kills alternate 2/4/6 nights etc rather than 1/3/5. By doing that, even if going by his justification that he wanted to out the scum the chance of townies tripping over and getting themselves and the whole of town powerblocked was just as likely, which would benefit him either way.
HoS Prof

Bolding it just encase you miss it stefl or something, I remember it being mandatory before but since you said it wasn't.. I didn't bother haha. Better this way though.

if there is only one kill night 1, people would be less likely to believe a 3rd part is out there, town or mafia. If the 3rd part doesn't have to target anyone no one will see them doing anything.

Ahh! That's a good explanation, and if Prof's kills are limited to days 1/3/5 - ie alternating cycle then by blocking himself he has indeed trolled stefl, because he doesn't have to make that kill if it was compulsory..

Wait. How is that trolling Stefl? AKA, making the game last longer than expected?

Yeah, ie giving town the impression that there are is no 3rd party involved.. Pretty sneaky.

Man i never realized how sneaky i was. Im a veritable genius.
You guys caught me, im a serial killer who only kills on odd nights and wasnt joking about the no lynch, i was cleverly trolling stefl into taking away a compulsory kill so that i could make it seem like i didnt exist until day 3, whereupon i would vote no lynch again, or target someone i hope would be doctored so that i could continue pretending to not exist while simultaneously evading night kills (just for being me) starting from the usual night 1 attempt.

Well it is a theory after all, the sarcasm does not help in this case however!
