Usually I see my friends doing this when it's pretty personal and could've been even more personal through a message. Instead they post it on their friend's wall and everyone can see the post unless that friend changes the setting. But then that makes them go through unnecessary trouble if they do want to change it. It makes sense to say happy birthday on their wall since it's easier to scroll down and see everyone's greeting on your wall than a message inbox and commenting on it or liking it is much quicker. But other times it seems like people want people to know they are talking to that particular person.

So I ask you VGchartz, what is the purpose of wall to wall post?
