Forums - PC - What PC games work with PS3 controller using Motioninjoy?

I recently downloaded Motioninjoy, and in the DS3 works in the gamepad tool just fine when I put it on 360 controller emulator. But it doesn;t work, or rather I can't get it to work) for either Mass Effect or Dragon Age II. They're pretty much the only PC games I have that are current gen. I have portal 2 downloaded off Steam, but I've forgotten the password of the (PSN) Steam account I have to use if I want to play it.

So, can I use DS3 with 360 emulator for DAII or Mass Effect, and if so how do I make it work? If not what games have people successfully played using DS3 via Motioninjoy?

And don't say just buy a 360 controller. I'm too much of a tight arse to be willing to fork out money for a controller that will get very little use...though I did buy Move

Oh yeah, just want to mention that I definitely preferred playing Mass Effect 2/3 using the controller (on PS3) than playing Mass Effect using KB+M on PC.

I think ME on pc and Dragon Age 2 do not have any controller support at all. ANy game that you can use the 360 controller for you should be able to use the ps3 with motion joy too.  That said there may be a work around to get it working, but the games just dont have that support built into them.

Good to know I haven't [necessarily] screwed up the installation and functioning of Motioninjoy. Bummed to learn that ME and DAII don't have controller support for the PC versions.

Yea. Its pretty stupid when a game is on pc and console and than doesn't have controller support. That said, i think i used xpadder to get my controller to work with some games with no controller support. And with a search i found this, but i have never used it. http://pinnaclegameprofiler.com/pc-controller-support/alpha-gamepad-joystick/xbox-360-ps3-psx-etc-af/d/dragon-age-ii

Everything should work as long as the Game supports Gamepads.

How does one know? Is there a wee picture of a game pad on the back of the game case?

Oh, I am happy for PC gamers, seems they can finally play their games properly.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Not sure on retail, but if you buy from steam it will tell you in the description. I no longer purchase games with no controller support (except for RTS's). Unless I do a search and see people have gotten controllers to work for games.

I downloaded that so I could play Portal 2 with my PS3 controller, and I could get the buttons to work, but I could not get the sticks to work, which was why I installed it in the first place. I eventually gave up, I thought it might be nice to figure out PC controls, now that I'm getting into PC gaming anyway

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I know NBA 2k12 but I can´t get the Analog sticks to work :/ without them the game is no fun at all
