Bing Maps Just Got 165TB Better

Bing Maps just added 165TB of new aerial images—more than doubling the 129TB previously available.

The update covers 15 million square miles in North America, South America, Africa, Australia, Europe and Asia. Besides satellite imagery, additions include exclusive aircraft photography.

wow nice enhancement. Still can't peel myself from GMaps. Just works so well, especially on Android.

I'm betting this is a bigger thing for WinPhone users than anything else.

I guess it depends what you mean by "in detail" though... in the South Westyou can see well enough to pick out vehicle colour... but most of the rest of Iceland seems to be lower resolution.

Still not as detailed as google maps in my nick of the woods, but at least there is no big cloud on top of my house on Bing. No street view available on Bing at my place though. On google maps I can look at the contents of my garage.

I do love that feature, I was able to see the house where I lived when I was 0-3 years old, pretty neat considering that it's thousands of miles away now.
