Forums - Politics - What happens if ObamaCare is overturned?

so basically, we have been lied to. this is fraud essentially. we were told time and time again, the mandate is not a tax. taxes wont be raised on the middle class. barack obama lied to us, right to our faces.

this is the largest tax increase in the history of the world.

and guess who collects this this massive tax... the insurance companies, and the IRS is going to enforce it.

So today the sovereign nature of the individual wasn't just weakened; it was eviscerated.

I guess now the question is what happens now that it was not struck down? Sad day for Romney.

Last I saw 60% of the country was against it. And now the Supreme Court has just made it an election issue. Also, Romney has raised over a million dollars since the announcement.

Many people are satisfied with it, because it doesn't do enough. 'Obama Care' is almost exactly "Romney Care.' I think we all should have the same health care that the US Supreme Court and Congress get. It's still using a for-profit companies to manage people's health care - and making massive amounts of money for managers/CEO's in the process.

But glad this part is over.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Well ^ Romney basically said Obama should have quit because of it, then the Supreme court goes and upholds it.

What does Romney say now?

"Our mission is clear: If we want to get rid of Obamacare, we have to get rid of President Obama"

They interpreted the fine as a tax, not the fees to companies themselves

The second biggest problem that I have with this Health Care debacle is that it is 2700 pages of legislation that the supporters of the bill admitted that they hadn't read. The quote was, "vote for it and we will read it later." The excuse that the individual mandate equates to a tax is ludicrous. The individual mandate is in direct violation of our constitution, and Chief Justice Roberts must have been high on bath salts when he joined the liberal judges in approving it.

Hence why he turned it into a tax. Congress has the power to tax.

Senator Bernie Sanders well be opting out and installing Single payer in vermont the earliest by 2016 and I think once this is done, it will travel fast.
This is also the problems I have with the bill, also that they left in that medicade has to pay store shelf price on prescription drugs. So yes there is some meat for the power house's.  I would agree everyone is glad it is over. I will put it like this, we where on the bottom floor of 9 floors, we made it to the 3rd floor and need to make 5 more floors.

Actually the bill would allow small business to get even more tax deductibles then they do now. You have no clue what you are talking about, just stop why you are ahead. i don't agree with a lot about the bill but I'm reading more into. I run a small biz and will now see more back. So get your facts straight.
