Just Add Water and Microsoft are having a bit of a row, according to the former's Stewart Gilray, but there appears to be a happy consequence: the Xbox 360 version of Xbox classic Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath will benefit from "new content", assuming JAW can find a new publisher.
"What I said was that we'd given up on Microsoft, not that we'd given up on 360," Gilray toldVG247 in reference to an earlier outburst. "What I meant was that we'd given up on Microsoft doing anything with it." After a 15 month tussle with the manufacturer, the studio is now in talks with two unnamed publishers to bring the port to Xbox 360.
"We can't wait forever," Gilray confessed. "If we did, PS4 and 720 would be out. We have to, at some point, say, 'We tried. End of.' And that's sooner rather than later now. But people can't accuse us of not trying."
Somebody throw this man a bone, industry. We like Oddworld.
