Forums - Gaming - What price would the Wii U need to launch at for you to buy it on day 1?

man some of these new guys are sensitive!
OT, as someone so eloquently put it, its not about specs its about games. with that being said. for me to buy it at LAUNCH, it would have to cost 100 bucks, 150 MAX, seeing as the only games i would want i can get for the current systems i have

responses like 99$, 50$, 20$ etc... are offensive and nonesensical....

In some cases people are being dicks intentionally... but at least for $99 and $50 there can be some that believe that. I personally can't afford more than 1 console per gen, so generally the most valuable of the three to me (last two gens this has been Nintendo) gets bought, and I am happy with that.... but should the PS3 have come down to maybe $150, or the X360 down to $100 I would seriously consider getting one.

Same story here with the Wii U... people are happy with what they have, so until there is some more incentive (games library) the Wii U isn't worth getting unless it is really cheap (which obviously it won't be that cheap, but if it were some of these people would be buying it)

For the Wii U I'd pay up to $350 dollars at best if I feel nice.
$300 (which is likely) is perfect.
Anything below is fine as well.
NintendoLand needs to be a packin, otherwise I might be more comfy with $250 like the Wii... However that's being optimistic.
Launch lineup is better than most lineups, really. I'm interested to see reviews for the ZombiU. Pikmin 3 is a must.
There are probably other games I'd be interested in but that's all I'm willing to afford.

£199. Or £229 if NintendoLand is included.

Certainly no more than £249, even if Pikmin 3, ZombiU and other 3rd party games are out at launch.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

300€

I think the launch lineup is very good. We get games of almost all genres. I think never before a console had this range of games at launch or short after launch: Assassins Creed 3, Batman, Darksiders 2, Pikmin 3, Nintendo Land, Lego City, Mass Effect 3, New Super Mario Bros, Zombie U, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Ninja Gaiden, Tekken,  etc.

Wii sold me on it's novel and fun controls.

WiiU has yet to do so.  It'd have to be gift.

Otherwise I'm not interested in the next Xbox than WiiU atm.

100$ not more... i made the mistake of buying the wii and am not gonna do that again.

$199.99. And it better come with a game.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

$299.99... anything more would have to depend on some launch window surprises
