Forums - Gaming - Windows Phone gets Final Fantasy

Yeah I bought it and it's my favorite game for the windows 7 phone so far. Having not played FF before I'm really loving it. The only thing that I dislike about the game is no mini-map.

Will always love this game and will buy it on any platform I own that it is released for.

Worst part is, the newest iterations are all way to easy. I will give them credit though, as now I can make a party of almost any composition and beat the game.

Still one of my best moments in gaming was beating this game with a Thief, BB, Red Mage, White Mage on the NES.

Quite a challange playing it without a Fighter. I'm am still trying to find the person who beat it with 4 white mages. I think I would buy that guy dinner.

Good luck.  After that feat there is no way to go but down and he probably killed himself.

I did take 4 Red Mages to the end on the NES, though I couldnt get past floor 2 going to Chaos.  Easily beat the PSP version with that combo (they made it waaaaay to easy, with MP and removing the low ass lvl cap)

:O

Wow you never played FF? Yeah, FFI doesnt really have a mini map, I think the first FF game with a minimap is actually FFV or FFVI (I know FFVI is the one with the minimap for sure on screen).

Edit: Actually FFI has a map, but its not a mini map, it was a combo of buttons if I remember right but I only know it on the PS1/PSP versions ;x.

Hey FF1 was before my time and I really didn't start playing console videogames until the end of last gen.

Either way though, the mini-map thing is not much more than an annoyance since I can exit out of the game at anytime and quickly look at the world map if I get lost and be back inside the game within a minute or two.

Lol well I've already played FF13 which I thought was very good as well (although I never got around to finishing it).

I guess as long as they keep porting earlier FF games to my phone as XBL games and later FF games to the Xbox I'll continue to be a fan of them and play them.

xD well I have no other way to play them right now. Plus I like to play whole series of games on the same account. (part of my slight obsessive compulsiveness)

You can still play I-XII on the PC cough.

I'm already playing FF1.  I'd rather completely stay away from PC gaming anyhow (not a fan of it).

Yeah totally a reason to get a phone that can't keept up with a Samsung Galaxy S2/3 or any Iphone.

Im out playing Final Fantasy 7,8 or 9 or any PS1,N64,SNES,NES,Gameboy etc game on my non Microsoft Phone ;)
Would be interesting to see when the first phones come that are strong enough to run Wii or PS2 Games...Shouldn't be that far away probably.
