Dota 2.

For the past few months, I spend 50% of my gaming time playing, catching vods and streams of the e-sport. Valve's effort is really commendable.

I played Dota for years and Enchantress, Faerie Dragon and Witch Doctor still are my favorite heroes in any "Moba" game, but currently I'm only focussing on LoL in that genre, because that's what my friends play (from time to time) and they signaled, that they probably won't start Dota 2.

Mass Effect 3, it only slightly surpassed Final Fantasy XIII-2.

Halo 4 ö, and it's not even out yet :D

None so far. Though I still haven't played Mass Effect 3, Journey, or Minecraft. I suspect one of those will be good, with Minecraft having the highest chance of the three to be my Game of The Year.

I'm insanely positive that Hitman: Absolution will be my Game of the Year when the year is all done. Borderlands 2 is a likely close second.

Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown; Complete Edition..

As far as a fighting game goes, the game is perfect. I got everything, DLC and the game for a cool 30 dollars. Turned out to be the best 3D fighter... Tekken Tag 2 reservation? Canceling it. I can't get into Tekken 6 anymore, after playing VF5:FS, and we all know TTT2 is going to use a portion of recycled content from Tekken 6. So, to me, it's not worth the 60 dollars...

For anyone that has ever wanted a balanced fighter with no come-back mechanics, and no DLC, virtua fighter 5: final showdown is there for 15 bucks.. The DLC is cosmetics, and is in no way required, unless you want to customize your characters' outfits.

So, I'll get DoA5, because I've never played a DoA game before.. It'll be almost 100% new. Where-as, Tekken tag 2, will only introduce minor character tweaks, that any patch could fix, and a very small amount of new characters. So, basically, 60 dollars for 30 new stages, a few new characters (most are on Tekken 6 already) and a tag mode.

Pass...

So, for now, it's Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown. Best fighter... I love it just as much as I love Marvel Vs. Capcom 2.

I personally am a HUGE fan of 2D fighters but never relly got into 3D ones. I have only ever played a bit of Tekken 5 back in the PS2 days as far as 3D fighters go.

I was thinking DoA might be good since I have never played anything from that franchise but the game looks very barebones in terms of mechanics when compared to other 2D fighters with intricate mechanics such as Blazblue (even SF to an extent). But perhaps 3D fighters are different in those aspects such as meters, etc. Also DoA seems like a fanservice game more with all the skimpy clothing but I am probably wrong since I don't really know much about the franchise.

Either way, now waiting for SxT to release a complete edition with all the fighters before I decide to pick it up or not, I have had enough of getting screwed by Capcom.

Gravity Rush and Ys Origin is my pick so far.

Dragon's Dogma, but Hitman will probably take its place.
