It never becomes no longer important to please your customer base.

When you think it is no longer important is when someone else takes the opportunity to swoop in and grab all the attention, and when it comes to gaming, mindshare is very important.

Yeah, they might not always have the newest and the latest and greatest to show, but at least it lets your fanbase know "Hey, we are still here guys and we still have things to share with you". I feel this is better than showing in Feb. at CES, June at E3 and then dissappearing.

Even so, let us see what they mean when they speak of local events and such, maybe Microsoft still have something planned between now and early 2013.

PAX then

When is that?

Alright, so at least they won't have everything cramped into the 1st 6 months of the year.

Have they been confirmed for PAX yet?

no,but they always bring Halo to there and attened PAX EAST(April) 2012,so i don't think they will skip this year

True, so more likely than not they should be there. Maybe with some price cut news.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

This is fantastic news for the PS3 really.

Have the potential now to make some big headlines.

it going to take lot more than little big planet karting and smash bros clone to make headlines

Not when your competitors fail to show up.

Sony Santa Monica also just stated that they have (2) more projects in development that have yet to be revealed, plus we don't know what Guerilla is working on, plus I don't think we saw Media Molecule's new title yet either. Vita had little presence at E3, so it may take the spotlight here. Maybe concrete info on the Vita Call of Duty?

Sony also just sent out a survey that teases a Gran Turismo for Vita.

Do your homework bro.

To be honest, all the first-party studios are going to be working on something.  New project from Sucker Punch, something from Studio Liverpool (WipEout I would guess :P), maybe something new from Evolution too.  We haven't seen anything on Killzone Vita for a while, and like you mentioned there's Guerilla and MM working on things as well.

Well, sooorrryyyy! I don't watch TGS so I wouldn't know.

I think this is a mistake. Even a small showing would be worth it. It's like forfeiting a game and letting the competition have a free win. MS should have just sent a some kiosks and a some demo reels of Halo4. If they added in some Halo 4 multiplayer stations it would get everyone excited to check out their booth.

I know MS has their own way of doing things and it works for them, but sometimes it's best to go along with tradition even when you don't want to.

Is there a point to these conferences??

@SnakeDrake
I understand some but that's not rea;;y the reason. The reason is that I just don't care much about it. I read the articles afterward.

Pretty much goes to show that Microsoft isn't really committed to gaming......basically.
