It's a good thing Best Buy is responisble. I mean a 15 year old playing a game meant for 17 year olds and up? That would of undid society as we know it.

Semi-offtopic, but this amuses me, because in Australia where the rating system is mandatory (as opposed to BestBuy having a choice to enforce it), Assassin's Creed can be purchase by a 15 year old legally.
Hmmmm... Yesterday a 8-10 year old bought Resident Evil UC for the Wii despite his mother noticing the 18+ PEGI rating. Nobody gives a damn here. Just in the news.
My themeforest portfolio:
I worked at EB games for a while and this kid want GTA:SA, he was like 7 years old, my friend who sold the game just informed the father that it was mature game the father shrugged his shoulders and just bought the game, that was one happy kid I can tell you that. XD

Well some kids know the difference between Video games and reality. For the few shootings you hear about blamed on video games there are millions of kids that play GTA that don't end up shooting up schools(there is also no proof that games cause these kind of reactions anyway).
Even if the game was for the little brother, he had an adult with him. The law is that a kid can't buy an M rated game unless they have an adult with them, this one did so even if the game was for him it's perfectly fine. It's NOT against the law for a kid to play an M-rated game, I don't know why people in here are acting like it is.
Should I really have to tell my little sister to wait outside the store the next time I want to buy a game rated Mature? Bestbuy is 100 percent wrong in this situation.

well you better make her wait out side, especially if your buy her that brat's game she's always wanted, man that game has XXX written all over it, the game should just be renamed sluts, and then have it targeted for for adults and sold in porn shops.
I'm sorry, but Best Buy was actually in the right here.
Think of this as like buying alcohol at a grocery store: you can't do it if you're accompanied by someone under 21 and you're not the legal guardian.
I'm sure the cashier shouldn't have been so loud and I'm sure the guy shouldn't have been so rude but it doesn't change the fact that Best Buy is following policy and good for the cashier for doing her job and putting her foot down. I would much rather see this story than see some story about how some 15 year old got a copy of an M rated game and then rose a stink about it.
I went to Gamestop , got Resistance and The Orange Box. The people asked for a birth date , and they told me I should give my mom's since I was too young. They knew it was for me , and they didn't care. I think as long as the parent doesn't care , they shouldn't either.
