I don't know. I think that system sounds pretty cool.

I think they have a small singleplayer mode to play around with, but the main game is social. |
And I was actually looking forward to this...
No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.
No thanks. I can live with online verification, but I want to play single player without interference from other players and not have the game keep going while I'm not there, unless I tell it to.
This also seems to imply that you can't simply load an older save? How can I burn my city down and then reload an older save to try a different disaster?
What about fun cheats, unlimited money to quickly experiment with different designs. True sandbox mode?

Fact is, even this DRM model can and will be broken, it will simply be patched out someway, and it will happen quickly once the game is released, meaning ultimately the person who actually purchases their item will be forced to stay online to play a game even if its "single player". |
Right.....
because PC gamers like to steal.
I'm right on the money, and you admit it......so lets stop pretending.

I liked that game quite a bit....

Then again I also like Sim City Creator...

I've pirated a total of 1 PC game in my time: GTA2 (well, 'twas actually my friend making a copy, but ultimately the same thing... then again this was well after it was still possible to buy the game new) and would happily buy Sim City 5 with real money if it didn't have this bullshit pushed on me. If there is a way for me to play the game without it, I would jump on it too*, if not then i'll go back to SC4.
*assuming my machine is capable of playing it (which is a no at the moment anyway), and the method of pirating the game doesn't seem dangerous.
