With the Wii U just around the corner its normal to start speculating about the features and graphical power of the other companies consoles, but forget about all the rumored specs for a moment here and think from a business perspective.

Needless to say, Sony lost millions on the PS3 and unless they have a success level like the PS2 next gen they will never recover from that, so it's easy to assume that there next console won't be extremely powerful (Sony themselves confirmed this), I personally think that it will probably be just as powerful as the Wii U, maybe a little more but nothing extremely noticeable.

MS is in the best position out of all 3 companies, but with all their focus on the kinect and social media I also don't think their next console will be all that powerful, they obviously after the casual market and their leaving the core gamers behind (aside from Halo).  Of course MS will always try to please the third party companies so they will go for the "most powerful" system next gen.

My prediction is this:

Xbox 720 > PS4 => Wii U

So overall I think the next-gen consoles will be pretty close in power. Of course those are just my opinions and I could be death wrong and the xbox 720 and PS4 could blow the Wii U in power.

I don't think Sony will take a big gamble on raw power again like they did with the PS3

Xbox should be able to bench press 450 lbs and the PS4 should bench 375 lbs.
