I am planning to buy a Vita in a near future but I was wondering one thing: can I use my same PS3 Network and combine all trophies from both platforms. Be understood as combining: that when someone who enters my PS Vita profile or my PS3 profile he sees my trophies from both systems. Is that possible?

Sort of. You can see PS3 trophies on a Vita, but as far as I know you can't see Vita trophies on a PS3. They do all exist on the same profile, though, and will show up on trophy sites. For example: my trophiez.

Hmm, would be good if Sony could work that a little more, right? My main concern about this is, seeing how Sony handles trophies with the Vita &PS3, this could give us an idea of what could happen with our PS3 trophies once the PS4 arrives. I hope we could fuse those two once the time comes, like some sort of resume as a Sony gamer.

Yeah, I imagine they will. I suspect it's just that, for all the improvements PSN has seen since the beginning, there are hardware limitations on the PS3 that keep them from addressing certain issues and adding certain features. Cross-game chat is one thing they just can't add to the PS3, and this may be another. Vita has better PSN integration than does the PS3, and the fact that all PSN trophies show up on Vita indicates that they'll probably stick with trophies going forward. I certainly can't imagine it would be a popular decision to dump them.

@Master : I don't think they will drop the system. But the fusion is not certain.

@Badge: That's what I hope aswell. Thinking that once the next generation kicks in and that my trophies will be forgotten kind of discourages the effort of working for them.

Don't forget Vita trophies also count to your total trophy score.

Yup. I've gone up from 6 to 8 by just playing on my Vita.
