Forums - Gaming - Sony – our competitors “are losing the plot” with gamers

Very good job. This is what Sony need to use has their motto for the PS4.

A console for the hardcore gamer, it will no doubt do better in sales than every other in the first year earning development and support. The early adopters are the hardcores and its ultimately that group that buys software and drives the market.
The only reason microsoft had a lead this gen was because they appealed to the hardcore with plenty of exclusives in the first 2 years of the 360. Obviously that didnt last and they are now in trouble for the foreseeable future. Sony has a chance if they embrace this idea.

Nope. I never stated that the PS3 and Sony were only about graphics.

"That and graphics won't always improve forever. There is a point to which a game can already look too realistic. Sooner or later Sony isn't going to have their defining factor anymore."

"Sony has some great titles but what really seperates them from the rest is their graphics. I think that is kind of obvious seeing as how they pride themselves on them"

You don´t have a memorie problem don´t you ?

Just stop it already. Just look at this guys username "NintendoPie". There is no reasoning with him. He is obviously extremely biased. Enough to dediced his online persona to Nintendo.

I think I might've told you this before but...

You don't even know me! Don't make claims on a person if you really don't know them. (I've played PS3 and PS2, I've had my time with Sony and enjoyed at least a little.)

Ironic coming from Sony

l0l this thread's become a urban war zone holy.

But I would have to say all 3 companies have lost the "Plot" with gamers, Nintendo being first and foremost, Sony and Microsoft making it worse.

Its gonna be a cycle that is eventually gonna cause the gaming industry to crash again.

Its no longer only about making games for gamers to enjoy, but also for casuals and non-gamers to get into the multimedia aspects of their respected systems to make the $$$$$$$ for the video game corporations.

Mention the possibility of another vg crash again, and there will be nowhere for you to hide! We do not speak it's name! FU SA RAH!

Sounds like Sony is mad that other companies are starting to take a slice of their pie.

"Sony’s head of digital games, Jack Buser, is of the opinion the firm’s console rivals “lost the plot,” during E3 as the event is more about showing great games than trying to “legitimize themselves in the non-game entertainment space.”

Kind of ironic since Sony, a consumer electronics giant most known for its non-game entertainment, has been trying to legitimize themselves in the gaming entertainment space since 1995.  And now that their games division is the only part of the company turning a profit, they suddenly feel the need to bash other companies for further branching out into non-gaming media and entertainment.  As if they were one of the OGs (that's original gamesters) along with Atari, Nintendo and SEGA back in the day.

The original gametester was The Odyssey, sorry
