Forums - Nintendo - Gamasutra: Nintendo's subdued showing and the open question of the Wii U

I like this article; it seems reasonable. I never buy systems on launch day anyway, so I can wait for enough releases to happen. I suppose the only people who really care are those in the gaming industry or are in the loop of the gaming industry, which I haven't been in a while.

Around the Network

It seems as if Nintendo is damned if it does and damned if it does not.
If it had shown 16 first party titles, it would be blasted for not bringing third parties to the show.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Not a bad article given that it's gamasutra. The odd thing was that Nintendo didn't do too much to show off asymmetric gameplay, which is the major innovation the controller could provide to local multiplayer. The problem with the whole "you can play while the tv is turned off" thing is that while it's a good feature to have, is it a particularly marketable one?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Seems like a good opening set of games with a real mixture of party, casual, lifestyle, group and core titles:
