Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo's E3 was underwhelming

I think the new console is neat. It's got lots of great ideas, and with Nintendo behind it, I'm sure they'll come up with lots of clever ways to use those capabilities.

That being said, the only thing I wanted from that conference was for them to sell me that console; to give me a reason to get it when it launches at the end of the year.

On that point, they utterly failed.

Was lame. Where the heck was retro? Too much casual. The best part was the intro with Pikmin 3 and then it all went downhill and ended on a low.

I was not expecting much, but it was way beyond my worst nightmare.
I wanted around 6-8 games (3-4 of those for the committed gamer) from Nintendo and confirmation that all the already in development games from third parties will have a Wii U version, nothing else. But wow

Nintendo is serious trouble now. They had nothing new to show, we all knew Pikmin and NSMB was coming. The only new games confirmed were Mass Effect 3 and Scribblenauts....

This was supposed to convince people to buy the console, which is launching in a few months? Good luck! Guess they are in for some serious damage control the following weeks.

i liked Pikmin 3 of course but Zombie U looks very good

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

For me Nintendo had the worst conference.

Where are the core Nintendo games, Stafox, Metroid Prime, new IPs. We got nothing!

It's was their's to lose and they lost it.

I'm an advocate for motion controls, Nintendo, and Kicking freaking Toad to the Moon!

Quite disappointing, underwhelming is right. In the last couple of days Nintendo have done more to convince me about Wii U as a console, but have also managed to put me off buying at launch. If the price is good, I will go for it, but I wanted to see more. Part of it was down to poor showmanship, but there was no single title that stood out.

Pikmin 3 was a great start, but things went downhill from there. My interest picked up again with Mario, and ZombiU, and finally Nintendo Land, but it was a disappointing show. I didn't expect Nintendo to roll out Star Fox and F Zero and Metroid and Eternal Darkness and something new... But ONE of those would have been excellent. I was expecting one of them, but they didn't have it.

really, Nintendo was bad.... very childish, Pikmin looks amazing and saved it a bit, Mario too as always, Mass Effect 3, but Sony/Ms had their sequels too

Ubisoft is the winner for me

Ninty was as bad as Sony/MS, but even worst i believe, because they had to amaze us with what WiiU can do but failed

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Mario and Pikmin are enough, Nintendo doesn't put out 5 games a year anyway. Usually they put out one or two big releases and a few smaller ones. Especially since they've taken for years now a stance of not anouncing games until they're almost done.

Aye, the key to remember here is these are all launch or launch-window games.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
