Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft releasing $99 Xbox 360 bundle at more retailers later this month

VG247

Microsoft has announced more retailers will start carrying the Xbox 360 bundle which includes a 4GB console with Kinect and a two-year Live subscription with the upfront cost of $99, and 24 months of Xbox LIVE Gold at $14.99 per month. The offer will be expanded to all Best Buy stores and select GameStop locations later this month. This next phase of the pilot program will be limited in terms of timing and the number of units available, so if you want in on the deal, hurry. Thanks, Major Nelson.

Interesting... Makes me wonder if enough of the console sales over the last 3-2 weeks came from the MS stores that it warranted a expansion of the "experiment" or if this is their way of making the "experiment" get those sales that might warrant making this a permanent thing.

This is the 4 GB model isn't it?

Do not allow yourself to be blinded by fear and anger. Everything is only as it is.

I wish they would do this with the 250GB model. I'd do it no questions asked.

Phil Spencer, I believe it was (maybe Aaron Greenberg), had mentioned in an interview that indeed, the promotion deal was meeting uptake expectations.

In the long-term you can probably expect this to be a recurring promotion, through this generation and likely with the next.

Yeah you're right, Phil Spencer said that in a interview (Read it this morning). I agree that they'll likely stick with this promotion if it works sufficiently

It must have been successful enough to try it in more stores. I guess if we see a slight 360 increase around the end of this month we know what it's probably from.

Lol... People bought this deal after all.

Yay!!!
