2012 - Sly 4, All Stars Battle Royale, LBP Karting

2013 - The Last of Us, God of War:Ascension, Beyond: Two Souls

Pretty bad the early 2013 line up is better than the holidays 2012 line up.... Missing out on Xmas once again with their big games. Sony doesnt seem to understand or care how many sales they lose out. Also Last Guardian and AGENT seem to be officially vaporware.

Last of Us not having any sort of release date makes it obvious that its not coming out 2012.... and not any mention of an early 2013 release means it might be Fall 2013. Kinda stupid to release it right around the time PS4 is coming out. That's Sony for you. Great games, terrible release schedule. If SCEA were smart, they would release TLOU around the same time as PS4, and have it on PS3 and PS4 like Nintendo did with Zelda: Twilight Princess on GC and Wii.

So what does that leave for PS4, which is certainly coming out in Q4 2013. 

Guerrilla Games - New IP, or KZ4. KZ3 came out in early 2011. So they've had ample time to get ready for PS4. 

Media Molecule - New IP, or LittleBigPlanet 3D. LBP2 came out early 2011. Said they were done with LBP and are moving onto something new. Could have something ready for PS4 Launch.

Sucker Punch - Infamous 2 came out Mid-2011. Were rumored to be showing something at E3, but their absence leads me to believe they're working on PS3 now. 

JAPANstudio - who knows? Spent 4 years on the Last Guardian and now it seems to be vaporware. Why are Sony paying these guys if they cant even release anything. 

Polyphony Digital - SCEJ seems to have no control over their studios. Cant even attempt to predict them.... they're obviously working on GT6. Who knows when it will come out. Will probably be announced as PS4 Launch title, and end up coming out in 2016. 

Naughty Dog (Uncharted team) - They've been on a 2 year schedule with Uncharted. So 2013 would be the year they should release the next Uncharted.... But since theyre moving to a new platform and need time to learn the new technology, I believe Uncharted 4 wont come out until Holidays 2014. 

Rest of Sony 1st parties - Not sure if any are even worth mentioning. 

Santa Monica and Quantic Dream will be late to the PS4 party since theyre both working on games that will be 2013 releases on PS3.

What about Last Guardian? I highly doubt they're shifting it over to PS4 considering the lead guy quit and is contracted to only finish the project before he leaves.

I'm hoping Sony gets Gran Turismo on their PS4 relatively close to release. It'll be interesting to see what new IP Naughty Dog makes for the console.

...for the 1st time, I think Naughty Dog will stick to old IPs.

PS1 - they had to stop making Crash Bandicoot. It wasnt there choice. They were FORCED to.

PS2 - Jak 2 and 3 had very disappointing sales. Again, they were pretty much forced to make a new IP due to Jaks diminishing sales.

PS3 - Uncharted is a huge success by PS3 standards and one of the highest selling PS3 franchises. The Last of Us coming out right at the end of the generation.

PS4 - ND will be forced by Sony and the fans to continue Uncharted. They really have no choice at this point. The series has gotten too big and popular to stop now. Uncharted 4 will probably be the most wanted PS4 exclusive when it comes out and will be a system seller. 

The Last of Us looks like its going to be a game that will be PS3s last hurrah, and will continue on PS4. Kind of like how GOW2 came out very late in PS2's lifecycle, and then continued on PS3 later on. 

Naughty Dog might make a new IP after Uncharted 4... But dont expect it for a long time.

Sony release schedules will always baffle me. GOW and Last of Us 2012 are much smarter choices both for revenue and have the buzz to combat Halo 4.

You forgot Dust 514 and the new Ratchet game. Dust 514 beta is this summer so it could habe a 2012 release date too.

Also, THE LAST OF US and BEYOND prove that there's more that can be squeezed out of the PS3......rather, more that they can do.

If we keep getting games like those, and I'm just in no rush.

Holiday 2014 is just fine for me, as it should be for all primary PS3 users.

If they were smart they would announce a new Riiidge Raceer game for fall 2012.

i think the Last of Us could come in Late November / Early December tbh. PASBR also dosnt have a real ease date so..

uncharted might make the leap to PS4. might! hope so anyway
