never expected the conference to be other then the usual, halo, cod and tomb raider were expected(as tomb raider got showed last year) didnt expect the forza title, gears was leaked but if it wasnt i would have been surprised even though they didnt show much, splinter cell was a good edition as well as re6, and then their were the meh downloadble games and dance central.
i was shocked that they didnt show new hardware, but considering they didnt their e3 presentation wasnt that bad as you cant expect a lot from ms these days considering their marketing strategies.
Being in 3rd place never felt so good

??? what does it being their for entertainement and announcements have to do with the expo. the press conference is supposed to create buzz and to also "entertain" the viewers by showing them new footage and some gameplay demos etc...

(Halo 4 gameplay was a brilliant opening, at least. And the South park guys were cool.)

exactly my thought..... you rarely see ms talking about stuff more than 12 months out..... 90% of what we saw will be avaible before the hollyday season.... yeha it's great to talk about stuff coming in 2014 2015 like other do... but honnestly who gives a shit.... i don't care about kilzone 5 coming on ps20 at e3 2012....
it's good for the hype machine not helping build a solid mktg base or sales projection.... if anything it's like playing texas holdem with your game open for everyone to see.... yeah it is 100X better for us gamer ti watch.... doesn't make your press cinf better or more efficient orofessionaly on the long run.... at least every year they have NEW stuff coming out right away that we didn't hear much.... not reheated shit we've been waiting for for ages.....
i gave the press conf a 7/10 btw.... but more trailers wouldn't have change my vote.... more numbers on the market trends.... more forecast on windows integration crossplatform stuff yeah... an alan wake 2 demo if it's schedule for later than nov 2013 is to me completely out of place in a pre e3 2012 conf... even if i would have loved to see it....
P.S. spacing ?? :) enditall727

THe press conference did just that. It showed new footage, new games, and new tech. People are saying it's boring, probably because they wanted it to be nothing but an hour and a half of explosive trailers. I say MS showed us cool stuff and that's all that matters. If you didn't like everything you saw, well that's because not everything related to Xbox is for you. Believe it or not, some games aren't designed for hardcore-gaming24/7-eat/drink/play-gamers. Some games are for very large demographics like children, families, dancing teenagers, athletes, etc. If MS ignored all but the most hardcore the Xbox would fail.
The stuff at the press conference that was for me was great and I can't wait to play it all. The stuff that wasn't for me looks like it's going to make Xbox 360 even bigger in other demographics. That's good for all gamers.
It wasn't a show to entertain you. It was a show to inform the public on the current state and future of the Xbox brand. Some of that is boring and some of that is fun. The fun stuff looks great, but the boring stuff is important too.
Just so you know I think the show was a 7 out of 10. I would have liked to see a new Perfect Dark or Left 4 Dead or Alan Wake. Overall it was good. With that said I've never seen a press conference that I'd rate higher than 7 or 8. Even years with a new hardware reveal.
