The record for Q1 is 2.4m but you know the sales this year is a little lower than the last year (1.8m)... if Sony ships anything near 2.4m I guess the issue with shipment this quarter is true.
Sooo 3DS selling less than PS3 surely isn't very good for 3DS. If not for Japan 3DS would be in danger of being called D00medz.
Game of Thrones off to a modest start. I'm not expecting much from its sales. I love the TV and books so I should buy it just because I'm such a GoT fanboy. But I also don't want to own a substandard GoT product.

In a sample size of 3 (PSP vs 360 is irrelevant given as you say neother it the leading platform) you are only 66% right. As statistical significance goes I don;t think the maths is on your side. Lets wait another 5 or 6 generations to see if a pattern really does emerge.
How come there's no PS1 vs handheld comparison? PS1 was the leading home console of its gen, what HH was it up against?

It's interesting that some people still try to argue that PS3 is not overtracked, taking into account that there was no official mention of tight supply, unofficial deals hitting the fan - in UK and US.. After all, if you have little of something, why would you sell it for a lower price? Some people need to get in check with reality here. And fast.

Well... Sony said that in their financial results.

you sound desperate... :P dominaton!!... just over 40% market share for the week (not domination - 50% plus is domination) and dead last in the home console race (very far from domination). Do not confuse having a lead of with domination. keep up the good work though.

now hes mad! you can just tell from the wording of the post. lmao. word of advice, stop spending so much of your time bitching on a website and get out more often. the weather is beautiful out there today man and this is the UK, so it wont last very long. same goes for other users that are constantly whining and pissing about "whos dominating"

Yep, winning the weekly global sales... as they did all of last year.... and yet they only just managed to win the year. Keep your powder dry if I was you and dont invest too much emotionally in the outcome... lot of twists to come this year. |
Don't worry, I have no emotional connection to game sales or my PS3. I save my emotions for something that matters like real life.

And he needs to change his "fact" again because the Wii beat the PSP and both the SNES and Sega Genisis outsold Sega's GameGear Handheld. |
Nope. I stand by my original statement.
"All leading handheld devices have outsold the leading console in their generation. The only exception is the PS2 which sold almost double what the Gameboy Advance did."
Game Gear was not a leading handheld device. Neither was the PSP.

Actually the fifth gen handheld is the Gameboy color, it is just another Gameboy. Sales are combined for the GB Color and the original.
