Nintendo 3DS has sold 6 million units in Japan, according to Famitsu. The exact figure given by the publication is 6,017,206 sales. It comes as it was reported this morning that UK 3DS sales were about to hit the 1 million mark next month

Hardly surprising as the 3DS in Japan actually has games.

It's selling so incredibly well, I didn't see this happening last year.

So, that took 63 weeks for the 3DS. For a comparison, it took the DS 62 weeks. Granted, the DS one is with 2 holidays, while 3DS only has 1, but it's still pretty damn close.
