Forums - Nintendo - RUMOR: Wii Price Dropping to $100

Zelda Informer

According to an image of a Kmart computer, the Wii could be getting another price cut as we inch closer to the release of the Wii U.

The image shows a listing for a black Wii console, bundled with New Super Mario Bros. Wii, dropping from its previous price of $149.99 to $99.99.

This would make sense. The Wii is on its final leg; Nintendo should try to milk as much as they can from it now.

This could also be a Kmart sale on Wiis, as they want to sell them also. Either option is plausible.

So, if you have been holding out on getting a Wii, or you want to get another for any reason, you may want to hold on and see if this rumor holds true.

Stores can make their own sales. Gamestop and Amazon just recently sold the PS3 for $50 off.

Nintendo would never officially drop the price and risk taking any sales away from Wii U this year.

Nice the Sylvania 20" widescreen is finally coming down in price.

BTW a thread like this was going on yesterday:

But if the Wii is selling for 100 dollars WITH nsmbw, then that means the Wii is really selling for 50 bucks since the game is fifty - something seems off about that.
