How much is it for an 80gb PS3 in USA?

here in the UK it is £300 (a HUGE $588) for a 40gb with no BC, No Memory Card Attachment and only 2 USB slots.

I'm not sure, but i would have thought it is less than $588 to buy the 80gb in the USA than the 40gb in the UK.

BC is now a must for me since my PS2 died on new years day (fails to read disks). Now i have 40+ PS2 games and SONY don't even offer an PS3 with BC.

EDIT. @starcraft ouch at $650, i thought $588 was bad

Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition cost me $79 AUD ($71 USD)

DS Games cost $69 AUD ($62 USD)

Full piced Wii/PS3/360 games cost $99 AUD ($89 USD) and some as high as $109 AUD (Nearly $100 USD!)

Wii costs $400 AUD ($360 USD)

Don't ever complain that PS3 is too expensive in the USA, it was launched for $1000 AUD ($900 USD)

i remember when the 360 was first released here. call of duty 2 and a few other launch titles were $119 AUD O_O

^ It's sick isn't it?

Games usually release between £50-£55 in the UK ($98-$108)

However older games can be found much cheaper. For example Motorstorm and RFOM are currently about £35($69)

A notable lack of advertising and support for Wii and DS here in New Zealand. Plenty of PS2, PS3, PSP and Xbox love though.

I just remember, i think i paid $120 AUD when DK came out on the 64, what was i thinking?

No grand predictions, i'm just looking forward to playing some good games on my Wii.

It was annoying when I was little and didn't have a debit card but now I just buy everything online for way cheaper anyway so I pay roughly what people in the US do. And as DS games are region free they can be ordered off US websites super cheap.

I figure if someone's daft enough to walk into a shop and pay £49.99 for a new game that they could get for £30 online they deserve to be screwed over.
