Can a Mod please sticky this.

I have found some problems whilst accessing the site and have decided to take action by listing some of them and commenting where appropiate.

I have found similar threads covering some issues but can we try and keep this alive to iron out problems and make the site better for all.  So my apologies to anyone who has raised any of these issues before but lets work to get them sorted.

1) Can we have to forum search function back?  Why was it removed?

This will help reduce the creation of unnecessary and duplicate/similar threads and allow users to find answers to questions/problems without having to start a new thread.

2) Game Collection - View Whole Collection link in profile not working.

This has been brought up recently but it is still not working!
Also can we have the ability to sort and manage titles by system/alphabetically/release date etc.
What about adding a Games I used to Own section?

3) Photo Album problems/errors.

I recently created some photo albums but encountered some problems.  After clicking on "Create a New Photo Album" you get php errors (includes for smileys).

When editing photo albums you get more php include errors.

After creating the album I then had to go back, view the album then click add photos.  Shouldn't this be part of the album creation process?

So I added some photos ensuring they were gif/jpeg or png as stated, then I get this error "Sorry, we only allow uploading GIF / JPEG / PNG images".  Pics were in appropiate format! So I tried again, even changing the image format, and got the some error and gave up.  Then I looked at the albums in my profile to see that all the images I had tried to upload had actually uploaded despite the eror messages!!

4) New threads.

Currently Hot Topics (popular threads) get a place on the homepage could this be extended or altered to include new threads (for threads less than 24hrs old for example) and can New or Hot Topics be made identifiable from the homepage as well.

5) Site down time.

Site goes down when being updated, why the whole site?  Could an update schedule be posted or a maintenance page displayed for info?  The unable to load page/find site message is not very nice.

6) Suggestion box/Feedback form

Instead of threads like these.

ioi I hope you will read this at some point.  Great work with the site I hope you appreciate these comments and can address some of the problems soon.

I agree with 1-4

5: the site goes down because people are massing to one page, if there was a schedule then more people would amass.

6. If it has some kind of self sorting thing then ok, because i'm sure ioi has no time to sift through what would be hundreds of "suggestions" a day.... perhaps if it was limited to respected users (1k/2k posts... although there are respected users who don't spend so much time/posts here so a little unfair to them.)

7. The add a boxart option does not work for a number of users, I always get a message saying it only accepts JPEG/PNG/GIF.

I believe ioi will be looking into it in future though... perhaps if you edit it in to the OP to serve as a reminder.

I agree with a lot of your suggestions. It would be nice if they are fixed/updated, but we do realize that ioi has a full time job.

Captions on photos is not working either!

Can there be a way to change your password added back in too? I know there was a way before because I had my normal password before my account got messed up. Perhaps I'm just missing it somehow, but I've looked for a cumulative of about 30 minutes.

I can't handle this generated password. I have to go back to my original email every time I need to re-log in.

I just added stranglehold collector's edition to the database a couple days ago now I find out it's been removed. Why?

^ I don't think collectors editions are wanted seeing as they are the same game.

what about an ioi appreciation thread :D. I say this because it seems that ioi does alot of things on this website including that big move from the last server.
