@ pezus

mostly yes that's why I said it hasn't moved any consoles in my earlier post. I was simply saying that console exlcusives in general DO move some hardware mostly due to the fact that the average consumer isn't aware if a game is also on PC

@ Millenium

No you can go into any Gamestop in the country and use either cash or trade in credit to purchase Minecraft, then we print a code onto the reciet that you enter on XBLA and download it to your system. Its very useful for people who don't have credit cards / want to use cash / or are trading in physical game to buy digital stuff like Minecraft. Its actually an awesome system.

neither of you have obviously worked gaming retail.

Console exlusives sell systems constantly, mostly due to the fact that not as serious gamers ( roughly 85% of the marketshare ) don't sit on forums and read gaming websites all the time. Many people who play video games litteraly have zero idea stuff like Minecraft and the Witcher are even available on anything besides 360.

But when you get someone visiting a retail, you don't really see MInecraft posters plastered all over the walls do you? NO. It's not a system seller.

edit: reading your later comments, I see you guys sell Minecraft codes? Still, that sells to existing owners, not new ones...

Thats because minecraft doesnt need posters. People talk about it all the time.
