And how could I forget spending weekends at my grandma's house with all of my cousins. I probably should have been out dating or something but I was more than happy spending my Friday nights at grandma's watching TGIF on ABC. Worst sitcoms ever but I'd give anything to go back there for a single weekend.

Mine is summed up in a few seperate eras:

1990 - 1993:
- Serious start to videogames (I'd played videogames before the 90s, but 1990 was the year we got a NES and an Amiga 500). Introduction to a lot of the most memorable series for me (Mario, Zelda, Megaman, etc.).
- Hearing my sister's constant playing of boybands in the adjacent room

1994 - 1998:
- JRPGs. Started with Secret of Mana in an attempt to find a game similar to Zelda. I was hooked since and tried out as many Square games as possible.
- PC: Started learning as much as I could about the PC in my spare time.
- Internet: Started off with website browsing, then moved to IRC. Things were simple but effective back then.
- Anime: I'd watched anime in the 80s, but this was the first time I actually knew it as anime. Started downloading some anime episodes with my 14.4k modem.

1999:
- Start tertiary education. Finally in a subject that I wanted to learn.
- Pokemon: Anime and JRPG. It reeled me in instantly!

1999.  My first console ever.  Exact same model, bundled with DK64 and the expansion pack.  I also had Mario Kart 64 and a second red controller.  I think that's these are the only video game stuff my mom hads ever bought me.

i only liked the 1st half of the 90s around 98 is when things turn for the worst for me but some things for me would be

most all grunge rock nirvana alice in chains ect, gangsta rap, smashing pumpkins, korn, rage against the machine, greenday, offspring, some girly music the crandberries, sheryl crow,and jewel

some tv shows like wonder years (malcom in the middle aint got shit on TWY in fact not to many have) and married with children the majority of the episodes aired during this time, also some others i remember are boy meets world, 90210, family maters, alot of nickolodeon shows and cartoons, friends, buffy, renegade, my so called life, freaks and geeks, the real wold and road rules

im not really going to go into movies b/c i feel almost all decades have there share of good movies

i like the cars from the late 80s that continued into the early 90s like camaro, firebird, and daytona and i do like pretty much most cars from this period, they have the boxy look to them they are also light weight b/c they didnt have the collision standards we have now. now there stuffed with 10 air bags more reinforcement and gadgets that shouldnt be in sports cars

some random events
i remember beepers where the it thing in school nowadays its the iphone 4, also the la riots was pretty big event

for gaming i remember streetfighter being really popular along with a host of 3rd party ps1 exclusives that are no longer exclusive to PS anymore
