Forums - General - What defined the 90s for you?

I was really young, but to me it was a time when the cartoons were good, pokemon ruled.  We listened to japanese anime on TV and play Beyblade at school.  The computers were slow as f***.  We could not use the phone and the Internet at the same time.

It was the time when I recieved my first console ever.  A Nintendo 64!  Music was not that bad, but better than 00's.  And there was those cheesy special effect on TV.  (The first computer generated titles)  You know, those with too much purple, grey and 3D effects... Never mind.

There was those poor quality comedy movie.  But it was the golden age of Disney.  I had almost all of their movies on VHS.  It was a pain to rewind them all :P

Audio cassets!  Mario and DK cartoons!  Pagets!  Furby!  PopRing candies!

Amazing moments!

Around the Network

The first time I saw Destruction Derby on the PS1 I was like WTF! This is like so real.

I shouldn't of bought it off the PS3 store. The crap graphics have ruined my memories of it.

Edit: Also the discovery of how great porn is.

Tv series, videogames and grunge music.

Definitely Disney, Nickelodeon, and Cheese TV (the australians on this site will know what it is) :D . They all seemed to be in their prime in the 90's... Disney had Aladdin, Mulan, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Hercules... Nickelodeon had Hey Arnold, Rugrats, Wild Thornberries, Angry Beavers. >_< Argh, nostalgia overload!
