Anyone expecting price cuts for Hardware. I think maybe Wii and Vita will get price cuts, $99 for Wii, 199/249 for Vita.

I agree with you that both the Wii and the PSVita are the most likely candidates to have a price drop, the former to clean stock and to give it one last push and the latter to make it a more atractive purchase.

The 3DS won't have another price drop until at least next year, and the DS ones won't gain anything from it, so I don't see it happening either.

And then we have the PS3 and the Xbox360. With Sony being in such a bad situation, and having problems with the Vita, mantain the price of its home console would be the logical thing to do... but with Sony you never know. And the Xbox360 has had that recent subscription plan in the USA so no, I don't see it either unless it is only for Europe and Asia.

Today's game to hype:

I'm not an avid God of War gamer so I don't have much prior knowledge of the series to help with hyping Ascension. I've played 1 and some of 2, but never got around to starting the 3rd v_v. Though I must say that Ascension is looking fantastic. The GoW3 engine seems to have been tweaked considerably, especially the physics, and the addition of multiplayer seems like it'll be a very fun experience. Anyway...

"The story will focus on a younger Kratos, driven mad after being tricked into killing his wife and child by the god Ares and now seeking revenge.  Joystiq confirms "players will be introduced to a more human Kratos than ever before" with director Todd Papy stating that the game will be "giving people a look at Kratos' human side so fans can relate to him better and understand some of the stuff he went through when he was younger."  Papy also confirmed that Kratos will have the "Blades of Chaos" and that the story takes place after Kratos sold his soul to Ares^{. "}
