EA said today it plans to invest $80 million into game development for next-generation consoles.

The company revealed the number during its latest quarterly earnings release. "We are very impressed and have decided to invest in the next generation of consoles," a spokesperson told Game Informer.

Sony and Microsoft both stated they plan to not reveal any new hardware at E3 next month. Nintendo will use the opportunity to re-unveil the Wii U.

You were supposed to say that BB isn't in the poll because it sucked hard and aside from reviewers who were paid off by EA nobody ever said anything positive about this franchise. Boom Blox is a disgrace to mankind. It's worse than Hitler.

Never heard of Bloom Box in the first place, so I dont' care either way.

That's actually quite disappointing tbh. $80m isn't that much of an investment in terms of budgets for current gen games let alone next gen ones. You'd be lucky to get two AAA titles out of that.

Hmm, I like console gaming & my chievos, so I'd like a "next-gen" battlefield *Although I can run it fine on my pc). I'm more interested in getting a quality C&C and more importantly a new Dead Space game on the Next-Box/PS4.

Oh, and a PROPER mercenaries game, 1 was great, 2 was meh.
