A $12-$15 HDMI cable does the job. As people have stated already, I wouldn't recommend getting a hugely expensive one.

I don't have one, but I'm pretty sure none of the PS3 models come with an HDMI cable. You have to buy your own. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

They come with basic Composite cables which I thought was a crock as they tout it as some HD multimedia experience but don't even give component cables...

amazon is a great place to find a cheap HDMI. I bought mine for $6US with $4 shipping.

Last thing to worry about really, HDMI cables are pretty cheap if found at the right place.

Some retailers sell the PS3 in bundles that include an HDMI cable. Dell.ca has a bundle that includes a 40GB PS3 with Spiderman 3, Ratchet & Clank, and an HDMI cable for $400.

MrMafoo is right: don't spend more than $5 or $6 for an HDMI cable. It's not necessary.

It's disappointing that Sony is so cheap they didn't even include any mechanism to get HD picture out of their HD console out of the box. It probably saves them about a buck per unit sold if they don't include an HDMI cable.
