Q-tips are bad for your ears?!!

Yup, it hardly gets any wax out of your ears and pushes a lot in futher, which can lead to infection.

You're doing it wrong >_>

How are you supposed to do it?

Around the Network

I have literally never combed my hair. Ever.

*Googling to see what the real benifits of combing are.*

  • Shower

Every morning and after a workout. Sometimes before bed if I was out in the sun.

  • Comb your hair

Rarely. Only when my hair is long enough for it to matter. I keep my hair very short most of the time.

  • Use deodorant and anti-persperant

After every shower

  • Brush your teeth

twice a day. In the morning in the shower and before I go to bed. Though if I eat something with heavy garlic or raw onions I'll brush after the meal.

  • Use foot powder or change socks

I don't use foot powder, my feet don't generally sweat. I put on a fresh pair every morning. I will also change my socks if I exercise.

  • Use Q-tips (not the rapper)

After every shower. This keeps the wax from building up and it's softest at that time as well due to the hot water.

  • Get a Manicure/Pedicure/do it your-self

I cut my nails once a week. I have only had a Manicure/Pedicure once, I was dragged by my gf there, but I would do it again. It was very relaxing and the massaging part felt good. Plus they had an action movie playing of the tv. I was litterally having two women wait on me hand and foot.

  • Other

Shaving - this is my laziest department. I shave twice a week, though I really should do it every day since I have no lack of growth in that department.

You should twist the Q-tip this way the wax sticks to it. If you just push it in and out, then I could see how that would push the wax further in. If you do it right you shouldn't get an infection. (I've never had one)

Speaking of ear cleaning. The creapest way I have done was with a bamboo stick. My ex-gf was Japanese and that is the popular way to do it in Japan. She would do it for me, pretty romantic, though pretty scarry the first few times.

They scoop the wax out with the curved end then swab out the left overs with the cotton end.

I remember an episode of house ( yo_john can confirm) where the guy was using extra strenght deodorant and he got really sick. Is that what you have Ninpie?

It doesn't say "Extra Strength" it just says "Stays on for 48 Hours!" (It is Dove Men.)

Stays on for 48 hours, but does it work for 48 hours. That is the question.

I thought those were practically the samething?

spurgeonryan said:
You can put any paste on you and have it not rub off for 48 hours.

Well then, the aroma of it stays for "48" hours.

I remember deoderant lasting a lot longer on me when I was his age.
