Crytek has revealed their anti-aliasing for their upcoming multiplatform title, Crysis 3. Comments from Tiago Sousa, the Principal R&D Graphics Programmer at Crytek, below:

For C3 fans asking about AA: PC will have our new SMAA with all modes (T2x on consoles )+ Nvidia new TXAA + all MSAA modes +something new :)

extra new AA mode in research. About new DX11 tech, we have a lot going on, but can't speak about it yet - keep an eye on news :)

Note that its all different AA modes. But SMAA and TXAA do have combos using hardware msaa.

Video for fans asking about our new SMAA: http://www.iryoku.com/smaa/#downloads Nicer than MLAA, no overblurring, less shimmering. There are different (1) quality modes (1x,t2x,2x,4x) for PC/consoles. t2x uses reprojection+ weighting, no "ghosting" at 30hz. PC 2x,4x combos use hardware MSAA .

Tiago Sousa and the rest of the team at Crytek are currently developing Crysis 3. The first-person shooter will be released by Electronic Arts for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America during the spring season of 2013.
