4.2%? not really alarming. It will suffer from franchise fatigue, but not now

I can't believe it's actually their job to say something so deprived of intelligence.

I think they have just released too many for this gen. I am not even a COD fan and i still have 3 cod games for my 360, and I dont even have any of the modern warfare ones. I don't any more releases on current gen consoles will increase sales, but the first release on the next gen may revitalize it.

since the main guys from Infinity Ward left (the guys that built the franchise) I knew COD was in for decline.

Let's just point out that at this point, after 22 weeks on the market, the Ps360 versions of MW3 have sold 25.38 million. After 22 weeks, Black Ops had sold 22.05 million. MW2 had sold 18.29 million.

In other words, MW3 is doing quite a bit better than Black Ops and MW2 had at this point. In fact, the Ps360 versions of the two previous ones never even reached 25 million, so MW3 has already sold more than any previous installment in the series. Which means that it's the best selling retail game ever, excluding a dozen or so Nintendo games and possibly World of Warcraft.

Call of Duty is doing better than it ever has before.

Modern Warfare 3 sales as of right now - 13.79million
Black Ops sales as of right now - 13.27million

yeah....and its' only been 5 months.

COD haters are so desperate to find bad news, that they resorted to making up their own!

So a sluggish market as nothing to do with it ?

There's nothing to revitalize. Sales of MW3 already surpassed Black Ops. 

Well, its NOT declining. It's growing just like it does every year.
MW3s low sales in March compared to Black Ops last year can be explained by the higher holiday sales. Sales are a little more frontloaded.
