RE Revelations have sold 122k

BUT

it seems joystiq effed up the wording there..the 122k is for LTD for the game..so around 30k in march?

also binary domain has done 20k

what do you guys think about these numbers? For a RE game those numbers sound horrible imo...Binary BomBain is in the same boat...i mean 20k? ffs. Did anyone here play it to know if its a good game or not? Badgenome played it i think

the first RE on handheld, so i didnt expect to hit a million, specially on the  west. Also capcom didnt really advertise it and i dont think it cost them alot. Ffr its first attempt on a handelh i would say decent, not great tough. Will be hard tomove their alredy stablished fanbase on homeconsoles to a portable. Possible yes? but will need long time work, like with the MH franchise.

small problem. This is not the first portable RE game. Heck it's not the first even on the 3ds

RE franchise is huge. Sales for that horrible (user feedback I read) shows that. These are horrible sales.

I hope we are not talking about mercenaries. But im curious what other re on portables exist?

Also the fanabse its huge on home consoles, ot portables, dont expect suddenly change on them.

You can't count out the VITA yet. No matter what happens! It's just the beginning. 3DS was flopping at the start but then came Zelda, Mario, Mario and more Mario. Plus the price drop.

let's hope their mario and zelda come soon then.An exclusive god of war or CoD will help it greatly.

well mercs was the other 3ds game yes. I believe there was a RE for ds a few years back :S Can't remember the name

Yeah I'm not saying sales should be even comparable to console titles...but 122k is abysmall compared to millions it sells on consoles. This game is one of the biggest games from a 3rd party dev for the 3ds and had the hype train going strong from the day 3ds was revealed. I can't imagine why capcom would be happy with these sales.

Rev outsold them both (mercs and ds game), also capcoms past attempts to enter the franchise to the handheld market were medicores. The fanbase is more confortable on consoles. But Rev is their most succesful attempt to break into mobile gaming, and i think they will start expanding form here on. DO i think they are happy? not a chance, but i doubt they are crying about it. Also they didnt do much to hype the game to those console gamers that dont readhandheld news, i didnt see the jill suit with game for $1000. Also they are making RE a more shooter franchise and gamers are apparently liking it, so a more survival game may not interest those people.

The sales are decent for what they did and where they did it. That Capcom may think different it's a diferent matter.I think they will still keep trying with the frachise on the 3ds,but will expand to others like vita and iOS next time.

I think if they are smart they will try out vita next. I honestly believe a good game like RE R on the vita will easily outsellf these numbers. Time will tell if they will do so tho. RE (nor almost any horror game lol) isn't my cup of tea so I personally don't care

I see aport of RE R on vitas future if it the situation gets better, but knowing capcom i see the next handheld RE being multiplatform or iOS only. But i think that achieving the numbers and surprass them will be hard right now, specially with the little userbase and as i said most fans being home console gamers.

I think games like this have a good following on the psp crowd as shown by core 3rd party games past gen. Time will tell how it will go :)
