For some reason it won't let me post in the OP so hopefully this works. Anyways guys I'm getting ready to build from scratch a gaming rig PC and I was just wanting help on a few things.

A) What all will I need to build it.
B) Whats the best parts in terms of bang for my buck to build a rig that will play pretty much anything.
C) What is the best websites to get the parts for cheap.

Anyhoo, budget, kinds of games you want to play, do you have any stuff on hand (case, screen, K & M), any specific wants (3D, multi-monitor)?

No budget really other than I want to do it as cheap as possible. I'm an utter noob in terms of building one or what I need to put it together.

I want it to do EVERYTHING I need it to do in order to play games over the next 5 years or so. I don't need a monitor because I'll be using my 60 inch 1080p HDTV for that. I just want a sick rig for as cheap as I can and have NO idea how to build it or websites sell the parts for the best price. Just pretty much looking for some opinions.

Thanks for the help! I'm just looking to gather as much info as possible since I know so little on it but want one.

A: Patience, Tools, Parts (screws etc), internet access to check for help if you need it, and preferably small hands...

B: Intel for CPU, and ATI for the GPU if you're going for bang for buck I'd say

C: I think there's this good canadian site for parts, can't remember the name. Amazon is at times also a good price provider

Anybody got any specific recomendations on which Graphics Card and CPU I should get? I've done research and know a decent amount about them but would love to hear some opinions on specific brands and cards.

For CPUs long term 2500k (you could drop down to a 2400k without losing much tho) is the CPU to get at the moment, it balances power and price very well should have no problem maxing games any time soon.

GPUs are a bit harder, especially as both AMD and Nvidia are launching their new ranges right now, Nvidia only their high end cards are really out right now but the 600 series seems like a really great architecture, but the only card out right now is $500 US. On the AMD side their is more choice for their latest cards. It really depends on how much you want to spend tho, a GTX560 TI will max just about any current game at 1080p but if you don't plan to upgrade the card for 4+ years you will want a bit of headroom. 

Buying a good mid-high end card and another one in 3 years is usually better value for money than buying an enthusiest card (or 2) and keeping it for 5 years.
