This. I always take the piss out of my friends for constantly texting or having expensive phones, I don't understand how people can spend hours having pointless conversations through text messages. Are people's lives really that dull that they have to take a 5 minute conversation and make it last hours through text messaging as an excuse for something to do?
Text messages can be useful at times, when you want to text someone who is busy or if the message isn't that important, but that's about it.
