It seems to be the only one in the entire gaming industry that made the list. Honestly I'm not surprised to see a few of the companies missing >__>

Well done Microsoft. It helps when you got a truly admirable guy like Bill Gates in charge.

Not surprising, since they are guilty of quite a few unethical practices in gaming: 1) Moneyhatting third parties 2) Charging for online play 3) Selling products at a profit Note: Knowingly selling unreliable hardware is excluded, because the WME thing is handed out yearly, so only current mischiefs count. |
I'm half expecting this to be sarcasm. But Microsoft Corp is considered a computer software company. As such it would of course make sense they would be in that category in something like this.
Wiki has it labeled as a computer software, internet company despite being pretty into hardware

not sure if serious or just bad trolling
Why are you so surprised? Did you expect to see Nintendo, Sony or games developers in the running for the software crown?
I am not taking anything away from MS but I just don't see how you can expect gaming companies to compete with the likes of Adobe, Microsft etc, in software.
All the companies listed in the software (and technology) group create software and hardware for serious productive purposes.

What does the quality of a product have to do with how ethical a place is?

Maybe it's their poor environmental record or perhaps using Foxconn sweatshops to assemble their products?
