It's been a while since I've had very good feeling of coming onto VGChartz, something really needs to push this site forward a bit.

The splitting of the sites is the thing giving me a bad taste in my mouth. It just isn't the best idea.
OT: Look for the fun threads! Or post in Ryan and my Official threads, they're quite nice. Also, things will pick up around E3 and continue to rise from that point on.

@ryan. The site is split up now, if anything it is condensing into 3 parts instead of the 5 it was.... just because parts have different names doesn't mean there won't be hot-linking between them and a way to navigate between them easily (like the current top level navigation bar)

Without being in seperate parts there has to be a ridiculous amount of info on the homepage like VGC 2.0. I'll admit overall I preferred 2.0 to the current 3.0 setup, but that's mainly because more graphing and sales features were taken out. However the 2.0 homepage was a mess.

From what I see people talking about, there won't be.

I still visit this site regularly out of habit, but the site is pretty useless with all the sales data and charts removed. This website seems to keep getting downgraded instead of improving.

i've seen some of the post so far, and the text in the op doesn't reflect the title of the thread.

redundant would imply the site is stuck in a revolving circle/cycle that we can't seem to break free of, and in that context i'd say you're right. or for a lack of better words, repetitive.

srry, but the same topic's continue to rear there ugly heads continuously every yr. some are needless while other serve a great importance in representing what the site is about, or what we all come here for, day in and day out, and that's the games.

anyway, what does the site need to push the to push it forward? what would you like to see?

then again, somethings will never change, and that's why i could never be a mod.

This as it is is one of the easiest gaming sites on the net to navigate, plus it has sales, forums, database, reviews, cheats, etc. Why change when it was perfect how it is?

 

Like I said keep it one site, but get rid of what is not wanted and add what is. Simple. The three sites thing like IGN or Gamefaqs is over kill. Gamewise is gamefaqs and vgcharts and gamrreview is gamespot. Gamespot and gamefaqs are the same thing. That is what we are mimicking, and it is a pain to get from one site to another without having an extra tab open.

 

Also people other than myself are proud when they become a behemoth or get a badge or become a god, even Seece was proud to become  a double god. Not linking that stuff just says anything that you thought you accomplished was for nothing random user. Status update badge alone takes 200 days!!!
