Forums - Sony - Anyone having trouble with Uncharted Golden Abyss's controls?

Not that I don't like the game, its great, I just can't seem to effectively aim unless I'm using the motion control function.  It's got to be something with the sensitivity of the small analog sticks, or maybe they just didn't nail the programing.  I can aim just fine with motion but I feel like I'd be at a large disadvantage if I was to play on crushing becuase motion is a little slower than analog, though I can get head shots easy with it.  It just seems like the stick doesn't have much of an analog threashold in this game.  I'm either not moving it or moving it at full speed.  I've tried adjusting the sensitivity in the options but to no avail. Anyone else having this kind of issue?

Yeah, the aiming feels a little stiff, the gyroscope controls fixed it for me though, I think it works really well.
It's definitely not the hardware itself, I tried Unit 13 out and the aiming is almost perfect on that.

If it weren't for enemies that stick their head out and wait to be killed, I'd be frustrated with the game. Probably the way the game is designed and not the sticks, though. I had a similar problem with Uncharted 3.

That's what I thought, because I played the Unit 13 demo and don't recall any issues with it. Maybe Bend Studios didn't put enough effort into this specific thing, or maybe they did it on purpose to encourage the use of motion aiming, which is pretty nice.

I never had an issue with the PS3 titles.  3rd person shooters with a free camera are a little tricky to get use to but after its pretty fluent.  I platinumed all 3, and since I'm that use to it being played in a certain why I was kind of shocked to find it so difficult unless I used motion.

I'm having a hard time with the aiming. I always run out of bullet because I miss so much.

I haven't played Uncharted or Vita, but I assume that a combination of analog and motion controls would be the best way to aim. Use the stick to get close to the target and fine tune with the motion controls.
