Forums - Nintendo - Wii Software defies conventional wisdom when it comes to Tiger Woods 07

Darn it went for only $42.50 I was so close to a free copy of Tiger 09. Just kidding I can't believe I just sold it for that!

I think its safe to say that the Wii is selling golf games at the very least.

Damn now I want to sell my Winter Sports, but I like it too much :(.

wow, 42.50. What did you put as your shipping and handling. I always make my shipping price include what I will pay to Ebay and Paypal for selling the item, that way the sales prices is actually what I should pocket.

BTW, you can still buy the new versions of Tiger woods 08 from the EA store online. As far as I can tell that is the only place, beyond resells on Ebay.

I charged $3.99 shipping which was about a $1 less than I should have. The eBay fees are higher than I remembered.

Nobody must know about the EA store or they rape you on shipping?

I think most people don't think about buying it directly from EA. It sells for the same retail price of $49.99 plus shipping. I didn't look at the shipping costs, but I'm sure its like $5 or something. Still, most TW08 are selling for more than that on Ebay.

From what I can tell the shipping is free on the EA store!?!

I guess I made out like a bandit with Tiger 07.

Funny thing is I will not buy 08 as they didn't improve it enough, but now I can buy 09 when it comes out for what I'm making on 07! It just hit $42.

My theory is they made what they thought was enough, but Wii's have jsut sold so fast that the amount of people that want Tiger 08 is just too great.

My theory is that EA being 3rd party doesn't want to upset non-Wii gamers by getting too successful on the Wii.  Otherwise, there goes the cherished belief that 3rd party games don't sell well on the Wii.

Torturing the numbers.  Hear them scream.

Lol!  I have to admit its surprising that EA isn't keeping up with demand for Tiger 08 even it benefits me personally.  Its further proof that 3rd parties are still coming to grips with the Wii's potential to sell software.

eBay seems to be very expensive for new/newish games. You can get some real bargains on older stuff but I've never ever seen a Wii game go for cheaper than you can buy it elsewhere online. I guess some people just head straight to eBay and don't bother to look at online shops.
