So yeah I watched it again. Still think it was rushed. I just felt they did injustice to both Lightning Dust (I think that's her name) and Spitfire's characters.


My least favorite episode was over a barrel. This episode ranks next to it.

I still don't get how you can not like "Over a Barrel." I'd put that as one of the more memorable season 1 set.

Few episodes can beat "Baby Cakes" for general "why should i care"-ness.

Season 3 has definately been way better than Season 1 and 2. It seems that quality went up because quantity came down.

It has nothing to do with the quality of the episode.

It just reminds me of back home except there is no happy ending back home like in the episode.

I really didn't see the complaints some of you guys had with this episode. I thought it was B-level all around, just shy of greatness but above just mediocrity. I'd easily put it level with Sleepless in Ponyville.

The only thing i think Williams should have done, maybe, was to have Spitfire's response be "i made you wingpony so you could keep her in check, b/c it's about teamwork, not being the "leader" doesn't mean you can't be a leader, etc." That was the lesson it looked like he was going for, but it worked out well in the end.

It was rushed and slapped together , Khan. If you don't see it , it's because you don't want to see it.

Go back and look at the mane 5 scenes back in ponyville. You can tell those were last minute additions because there are no background ponies in ponyville. Add to that those scenes are out of place. Period.

I really see no greatness. Just a mediocre episode :P

I've quite liked this season thus far. Magic duel was best, followed by Wonderbolt academy (I really liked Lightning dust).

Too bad it seems the Hub is looking to ruin the series.

Even though I totally theorized that Twilight was being prepped to be an Alicorn after watching The Crystal Ponies. I win!

I liked Spitfire's character in this episode, and it was actually one of the better ones in my opinion - it didn't need the ponyville scenes at all though, honestly
