The handling still sucks. The engine needs a complete rewrite.

My thoughts as well, but i would take that as a positive, given that Disney is too busy being Pixar

Well, I'm not aware that Pixar really does too much in the "song duet" department.
I guess there were two things that I didn't like about it.
1. I just wasn't a fan of Spike echoing Twilight's singing. I'm sure people who've been dying to see them sing together were able to overlook it but I didn't feel like it added much to the song.
2. It seemed to me like the song didn't move the show along. It was more like, "hey, let's have a time out while we sing and dance" which is pretty different IMO from songs like "Art of the Dress" or the one with Chrysalis/Cadence, and I don't like "time out" songs.

Gravity Falls! Easily the best Disney show in the past twenty years. :D. It might just be the off season speaking, but GF might take FiM's place as my favorite cartoon :3
