S2 really hurt Rainbow. Her episodes played up the awesome but also her bad qualities. The opposite happened to Applejack, she became a more complete character.

I'd now say Twilight = Rainbow > Applejack > Pinkie > Rarity >>> Fluttershy.

What's with the Fluttershy hate? :(

Character with no flaws, also PYHD and HF were near show-ending episodes for me.

Put Your Hoof Down was one of my favourite episodes :o And one of Fluttershy's flaws is emphasised on in that episode (lack of assertiveness)

I really liked it, but I didn't like that Rainbow was really selfish.

But it really surprised me when Mare Do Well turned out to be Pinkie Pie and the gang.

It's good that at the end Rainbow was set straight. I was starting not to like her rudeness. 

It really wasn't. I don't want to write a long essay but assertiveness was never shown in the episode (her two friends and IW did everything wrong), FS's supposed character flaw was never actually flawed, and her reaction to the trainingmade little sense.

I don't want to be thinking about that episode, I actually took a  month break from pony due to the implications of that.

According to various ranking polls of Ponychan, it was the least liked episode by far, because it wasn't written as a pony episode.

Rainbow's character was bad, her friends' reaction (not to tell her but to humiliate her) was wrong, she never learned the real lesson because of how the show was set out. But also structural flaws, the shown stroller+baby, crane, dam and so on did not fit with the established pony world at all.

If you liked it, I would say you won't find a bad episode in S2.

I basically have undying hatred for the writer of MMDW, PYHD and HWE.

I'm thinking of rewatching some episodes- most of them I've only seen once
