With the correct software they could. CoD saved them this gen.

People still look through their console glasses instead of their software glasses. This gen more than any should have changed that.

Without CoD, 360 and PS3(moreso) lose all their system sellig games. Without system sellers you don' sell consoles. Even the N64 had Goldeneye.

Your PS3 and Xbox 360 sales are wayyyy too low. I had to double check. You are predicting that Ps3+360 sales this year will only be 13.5m?

According to VgChartz in 2011 HW sales were
PS3 - 14mil
360 - 13.4mil

You're expecting a 50% drop for both consoles? WHY? Wii U?

He's using PS3 & 360 sales separately. You think he's combining them? If he were using combined sales, then PS360 would already be above the Wii.

I'm not saying Mario 64 and Ocarina are crap, I'm just saying Goldeneye saved the N64 from insignficance. Obviously last gen leftovers like GTA, Halo and GT play a part but only by staying relevant instead of breaking new ground.

I'm pretty sure Pezus is saying that both the PS3 and the 360 will sell circa 13.5 million a piece. I think its unlikely that either console will pass the wii total sales, but if any console could it, it would have to be the PS3 but it is very unlikely.

What do you mean by 'insignificance'. If you mean in terms of sales, then I don't know why you're describing the N64 & PS360 with the same word. PS360 without CoD would have been alot more 'significant' than the N64 without Goldeneye.

EDIT: Oh, and Halo & GTA both broke into new ground
