Good news for any Americans interested in the exclusive Wii RPG by Hironobu Sakaguchi, as "The Last Story" may finally have a release date for you to anticipate:

By itself, the fact that Metacritic have a release date up for the game isn't big news; they've been wrong before. However, seeing as so many other sites have been putting up a release date of early June, and Nintendo saying it will come 'in the summer'; could Americans really be playing this game in just over 100 days, only a couple months after Xenoblade? I certainly hope so, as both are great games and worth playing!

As an aside, for anyone who has both this and Xenoblade; which do you prefer, and why? I'd have to say Xenoblade, but I've yet to finish TLS, so it's unfair to make a judgement now...

I think Xenoblade is vastly superior in every way. I'd give Xenoblade a 10/10 while The Last Story around 7.5 or 8.

I wouldn't say in every way (I prefered the character models and dialogue in TLS, for example), but in most ways. The important aspects.

I'd give Xenoblade 93-96% and TLS 81-84%, but TLS could go up or down, depending on how the rest of the game pans out.

TLS is a good game, one of the best JRPGs of the recen years. But Xenoblade it marvelous, one of the best games I ever played.

I haven't finished either but from what I've played I'd put Xenoblade over The Last Story. The environments in Xenoblade are simply gorgeous.

I concede that the environments in the game DO make the game stand out. They're simply awe-inspiring

i must have the game by the end of the year at least... so good news! :D

Hopefully all territories will be able to play all 3 games by the year's end!
